Our dear Dragonfly was away this week. Happy vacation! I was very happy to help lead us in some fun discussions, games, wandering, sledding and snowman building. Thanks to everyone to being so welcoming and kind to this Otter during our day together.

After introducing our nature names and our actions, it was Otter's turn to try to remember all of them! Were you able to pick out your nature name when we played our guessing game? Good practice for all of us, not just our guests!
What did you get up to during our morning discovery? whether it was parkour, making treats out of snow, investigating deer track or snow painting we all had a blast together.

In the library, Grey Squirrel read us the story Rabbit's Gift in which the characters realized that friends share with each other so no one is left out or goes without. Can you think of any times during the day when you shared something with a friend? Thanks for all the lessons you teach us with your amazing book choices, Grey Squirrel!
After lunch, guess who arrived? Another friend...Antman! Hope you enjoyed joining in the outdoor activities! We were happy to see his ant friends that came along too. What did you learn from Antman today? Did you have a new question for him you haven't asked before?

Land and sea, poetry! It rhymes! Do you remember the title of your poem? Why did you pick the animal you did to be in your poem? The final sponge paint touches were added to the frames and the Turtle Poetry Collection is ready! Did you enjoy sharing your poem with the group? Don't worry if you didn't have a chance to share. We can share a couple during our circle times next week! Poetry Challenge! Can you recite your poem at home to your family?
At the end of the day, we headed over to Sunrise Hill for some sledding fun, enjoying the laughter and fresh air together. Did you take a ride yourself, or share a sled with a friend on the way down?
In our morning story, Molly, Ollie and Dexter The Guessing Game, the animals realized that the most wonderful, beautiful things around them were their friends. Sometimes we get frustrated with our friends, sometimes we feel sad when a friend leaves (bye Owl!). Friends are always in our hearts no matter what. Think about a special Turtle. How can you make their day? Looking forward to what you come up with next week!
