Splashes and Snails

It felt more like summer at Stoneridge Farm today! We travelled to Crayfish Catch today and we saw a few snails on trail as we walked. The snails eventually came out of the safety of their shell and crawled around on a few hands. What did they feel like crawling on your hand? Could the small plants hold them up?

Looking at the Bingo sheet, did you remember visiting some of those places at Stoneridge Farm? Did you get a bingo? What will you miss the most as we break for summer?

We were greeted by the animals. The ducks were waddling around the farm. Rabbits were happy and hopping about in their enclosure. The horses also came in close for us to see them in their paddock. I think the hens missed some of the attention they normally get.

To get to Crayfish Catch, we first had to pass by the firepit and also The Outpost then we had to cross the river to get to the other side. At Crayfish Catch, we caught ten crayfish, four water striders and five small fish. What did you like about visiting Crayfish Catch today?

Maybe there is a river or stream nearby your house where you can go during the summer? What else will you be doing? Climbing mountains, swimming, biking, kayaking (the Yak Shack in St. Marys), or maybe hiking? Hope to see you on the trails! Dragonfly, Chickadee and Coyote
