The Power Of Homesteaders

Homesteaders, you are always up for a challenge and today we gave you a chance to show your 'chore power'. Did your team finish the task in good time? The Super Cowboy Combo of Acorn & Blue Racer won the race by mere seconds. Great job all!
Spa time with a pony can be lots of fun. Share your makeover plan and how it worked out. Our lead line Best In Show class was too close to call (according to our distinguished judging panel) so we decided on categories for awesomeness; style, braiding, cleanliness, and funk.
Stoneridge ponies will miss all the love and care. We are really happy to report that Albert continues to do well and (as promised) Coyote (and her team) will give him lots of TLC while you are away over the summer. Thanks to each of you for your unwavering enthusiasm for being an animal caretaker throughout the whole year!
Our wander at Pine Haven may have gotten a little bit muddy. Did you help set up a tent, have a mud makeover or jump onto the new swing. Tell someone at home about the spa treatment that you gave the leaders. Special thanks to Antman for sharing his famous popcorn with us again! It's always one of the most pop-ular snacks.
In the afternoon, we gathered to celebrate an incredible year together. It was wonderful to welcome so many parents to the farm and share in the festivities. Looking around at our community, we were reminded of how fortunate we are to spend our days learning, growing, and making memories together. Thank you for being part of such a meaningful year.

We have loved having Hawk's program support, special connection with kids and mentors alike, and her wonderful creative ideas. Thank you for being so generous with your time and talents this year Hawk.

Antman makes sure we take each project to the top level. Our skills have all grown under his guidance. Trail walks, cookouts, and circle talks are so much more interesting when Antman is along. We appreciate you so much Antman!

Coyote has been a wonder this year! Her knowledge of the animals, care for the students and passion have been amazing. It would be truly impossible for the homesteaders to exist without her.

You had some great adjectives to describe Otter...cool, caring, kind, fun, interesting....good looking! It probably was the creek clay facial he got from you wonderful kids:). You just couldn't offer enough juicy words to describe the impact Otter has had on all the Homesteaders in his very first year with CNS. Just imagine what year 2 might be like!!
We are SO grateful to Angela Edwards (Firefly) for her gift of volunteer hours as an expert graphic designer to make our certificates and button designs. They really are something your child can be proud of and hang in a special place at home.
Happy summer and see you in the fall Homesteaders!!!
