Celebrating another beautiful spring day for the Acorn & Oaks program!

At Stoneridge Farm, Coyote and Chickadee led a visit with the horses today. Everyone had a chance to feed them and brush them. Did your child like feeding or brushing the horses better? Gus also gave a couple of big wet kisses!

The chickens roamed freely and it was fun to watch them scratch at the ground or have them come to the cups of bird seed. The mud kitchen was busy with cake baking and don’t forget the sand box with the tractors!

Was your child able to recognize some of the birds in the story today?  Do you recall what some bird songs sound like?

Dragonfly brought some cardboard rolls and flat pieces of cardboard which could be punched with holes so flowers could be poked in them.  There were pink, purple, yellow and white flowers to use for the craft.  Which colours did your child use?

At Harrington, everyone made nature soup. I couldn’t pick between Tomato Soup and Spider Soup.  They both looked yummy!

The black and white skunk was hidden in the bushes a few times today. Could you find the skunk?  Also the owl listening game, did the owl find the ‘sneaker’ trying to get the skunk from the owl?

Happy Trails!
