Our eyes are now wide open, scanning for what is just starting their life, what’s on the grow, or becoming part of the decomposition cycle. What did you see today that made you say, WOW! At every turn of the trail we noticed something new…songbird eggs, more minnows, a dead fledgling, water striders, Sweet Pea flowers. Talk about what you spied today.

We love spending time around the Homestead. What did you get up to? A woodshop, nesting boxes, new mud kitchen recipes, or just hanging out bird watching.

New trails need tending. Talk about your team effort to make our new trails easier to follow. Maybe you joined the Milkweed Caretakers who were digging up plants on the crop field. All of us were busy with important work that will be enjoyed by many people in the future.
Wander time at Crayfish Catch brought some great surprises! What discoveries did you or a friend make? If you were one of the ‘explorers’ who ventured farther to the Backwoods, how did it feel to be back there?
Become a teacher and share what you know about insect habitats and what they need to survive. Antman amazed us with so many facts, his love of ants, and the cool ant farms he made to keep them healthy and happy. When you show your family your insect habitat, see if you can explain what you added and why. Enjoy watching and learning about your insect for a short time and then return it to nature.

Thanks to Otter for sharing a beautiful song on his guitar. Did it make you feel like one big nature family? Can you sing along at home?

There were some big sighs when we talked about our last day of the school year together. We feel a little sad but many great memories of 2024/25. Can you bring a story of one of your favourite memories to share on our last day? Camping out together will be so much fun!

Happy BIG number 10 Frog. Hope you have a wonder-filled birthday tomorrow!!
