Creations at the Farm

How wonderful is it to create and work together as a team to complete the rabbit castle. Our day was filled with hard work and dedication to the animals and our building projects.

Our little animal crew is changing. Share your feelings about the upcoming departures from the farm and you hope will arrive? Try a gratitude and love meditation at home to send these beautiful creatures happily on to their new homes (Thank you Erin for leading this over the phone). Building a relationship with animals is important to gain their trust around people. How did you engage in gentling the small animals to make them feel safe around you?

Think on some of the chores you helped with, what was your favourite? Working as a team involves asking for help from your friends. How did you help others become more involved and included in your chores? Which chores will miss the most when we switch groups? Tell a story about your favourite horse. If you had horse time today, talk about your pony pal. Cuddle time will be built in the horse job next week :)

Were you someone who practiced whittling, or explored the river and caught crayfish? Whittling is such a hit! Tell someone at home how you stay safe while whittling? (Blood bubble) What did you make? In the river we found some creatures, do you remember what you found? How can you catch the creatures in the river and return them to their habitat safely?

Woah, this salad looks amazing! Tell us about what you made it out of? Are all of the ingredients from the same plant? (Wild Cucumber)

Building a rabbit house is rewarding work and will give many animals in the future a happy home.

If you brought your best work ethic, describe how you showed this. Did you stick to a tough task (tool work) or follow through to get a great final product (painting). What tools did you work with while helping to build? Do you remember why we stain the wood? (helps to prevent the wood from rotting)

Next week is your first day in the new job to shine! What excites you most about starting your new chores?
