It was a busy last day at Acorns & Oaks! Meeting up every week has been fun as we learn and explore together. Even though this is our last week meeting together doesn't mean that you can't have your own Monday adventures throughout the summer.

At Stoneridge Farm today, we hiked quickly to Pine Haven. Along the way, we noticed colourful flowers and how the grass along the trails had grew so tall. The grass was tall enough to hide a Wild Turkey and her babies. They were so quiet!
What did you like doing while at the farm today? Finding a fish or catching a rubber duck? Crawling in a tube? Going in the loft? Running around the arena? Petting or Feeding the horses and chickens?
At Harrington Conservation Area, we met and started making some nature soup. We could see the Leopard Frog but it managed to escape capture. We were able to catch a few bugs and worms with our hands and with the nets. While in the fort in the woods was fun to pretend we were bees in a hive. Buzz. Buzz. Everyone found a special key to get into Cedar Hideaway where we could do some more exploring. Some mud found it's way on a few our friends today but what a story to remember and share?
I hope you have some fond memories from the Acorns & Oaks program and maybe I will see you in the fall! Happy Trails!
