Our focus of the day was to learn all about seeds. As we looked through the forest, all of you did a great job of finding and gathering! Can you name a couple seeds that you found. (Milkweed, Wild Cucumber, walnut and apple)

Tell someone about the journey that a seed takes to get planted. There are many different ways that seeds reach the ground to make a new home. Can you think of some ways seeds do this? Some float, some hitchhike, some get stored away by an animal and forgotten about. Think of one of the seeds that you found, how does it travel?

We read "A Bad Seed" while we were at the library. Think about the seeds that we met in this book. Can you name a few? The "bad seed" turned out not to be so bad in the end, how did our sunflower seed turn to a good seed?

We had the chance to visit our tree friends today. How did you decorate yours? Did you add a fairy house, decorate with long grasses or make a comfortable seat. Think about the following questions during the week to prepare for our "meet our neighbours" next week.
