Winter is when our grit really shows through. Even on freezing days, we head outside with smiles to sled, scramble down snowbanks and make snow angels. These winter lovers had a great day as we explored in the snow, worked with the animals and finished up our sewing project.

Cleaning pens needs step by step attention no matter what animal you are caring for. Here are descriptive words for each step. Can you fill in the blanks?
1. Rake
2. Pick
3. Scrap
4. Sprinkle
5. Shake
Who had an A plus stall today??

Great job frog for finding the pun in our last blog post and even writing it down! we are continuing the tradition so try your best to find the pun in this post.
We had some sad news today. It felt good to really feel this loss as a group and to talk about how Donald might be feeling. Stay tuned - we don't let animals who need each other like ducks, stay alone too long.

Teamwork is a large part of our chores. Reflect on the chores that you worked on today and think of some ways that you were a good partner. Did you work as a team? Help someone who was unsure what to do? Why are these girls laying down in the horse stall:)
Leading a horse safely takes practice. We practiced how to tell our horses to whoa, walk-on, back up, and reverse direction. Do you have any 'hacks' that you learned to keep your horse in step with you while leading them?
How did you choose to use your time during our wander? Were you someone who went for a new all-time distance while sledding, or did you try making ice cream in the snow?
It’s important for us to stay warm in chilly weather. Did you notice when your body started to feel cold, and how did you respond?
Thanks to Junco, we finished up our books and they look absewlutely wonderful. Can you tell someone at home about the steps you took to make your book? What part of the process did you enjoy the most? Did you run into any challenges while working on it, and how did you solve them?
