Animals of Stoneridge

Did you meet all the animals at Stoneridge Farm today? Did you get your ticket punched or stamped by Chickadee, Dragonfly or Coyote? Thank you to Coyote for having all the horses, ducks, rabbits and chickens ready for the visit with our Acorns & Oaks! Thank you to Chickadee to keeping an eye on the ducks and giving out some special food to feed the chickens! 

What kinds of noises do the animals make? WhoWhos, Quacks and Clucks can be loud at times. Other animals are quiet. What animals on the farm were quiet?

What else did you hear, see or smell when walking along the trails? Did you see the horses?

Sometimes we can collect things in other ways. Today, we made Flower Wands by collecting/cutting some flowers or other nature treasures. This activity used all the senses, in addition, to the use of fine motor skills through weaving.

Of course, there was other fun to be had at the farm today too!

Ladder climbing, Digging in the sandbox, Story time, Crawling through the tube, Making mud muffins, Swinging and Splashing in the water!

It was hard to say ‘Goodbye’ today to all the different friends at Acorns & Oaks! We will see you next week!  Until then, Happy Trails!
