Autumn Magic

ree

Wave your wand and watch the world around you change! Autumn brings so many surprises especially if you look closely. Today we were on the hunt for signs of fall as well as for memories of summer.

In the book, “Firsts and Lasts’, we looked at how each of the seasons starts and how it ends. Think back to how you felt when you discovered the first signs of summer. How do you feel now that it’s ended? You also had to do a lot of changing today when we played the game, “Ready, Set, Switch!” Think about how it made you feel. Are you a person who likes a lot of change, a little change, or no change at all?

Where did you hang your “I love you” heart today? What makes your location so special? It will be interesting to see if any of the places we chose change as the seasons come and go. Let’s keep track in our nature notebooks by drawing what we see and writing down important details.

The magic of autumn brought out the artist in everyone! What project did you enjoy the most - leaf prints, turkey decoration, seed and lentil tealight holder, or the nature suncatcher?

Take a look at some the memories we made today and tell your family about some of your favourite ones.

This weekend is a good time to think about all of the things you have to be thankful for. Be sure to let the people who matter to you know how much you appreciate them.
