It was switcheroo day for chores. Your new jobs have lots of different parts. How did you divide your group into working teams and what did you end up doing today? You’ll be changing up jobs next week. What are you hoping for? Sunflower, please learn to direct the hose away from your TEAM MATES!

Our trails help us travel to new places around the farm. What did we do to help our path stay clear? Uh oh, looks like something happened to our sign! How did we prevent this from happening on our next sign?

Farm work can be really enjoyable and good for you. Consider why you like doing chores on the farm and how it might make you a better person? (seriously)

Surprise, our friend Raccoon snuck in and left a very useful gift. Why is this a great gift for the Homesteaders as compared to what we have been using. We’ll need to think of a fun way to thank that sneaky and very generous Raccoon!

Kindergarten taught you to paint between the lines. Our trim painters were pretty careful to get this right. Acorn turned out to be a very fine taper. Thanks Acorn!

Building a Duck House will help give a wonderful home to Donald and Duffy. What did we add to make sure this structure was even stronger? (wood glue) It looks like it will be strong enough for our ducks if it fits two nature students in it!

Pixie has now achieved super hero status. Team Pixie just couldn’t get enough cuddles and think she should be the Coyote Nature School mascot complete with the a CNS sweatshirt.

Animals on the farm have something very real in common with children, they are dependent on others for their care and happiness. We asked you to step into the mind of one animal and imagine on paper what it’s daily life might be like. How might they feels about the humans who care for them? How does getting into the mindset of animals help us be better caretakers?

Our thanks to Hawk (Erin) for coming out each week with a smile and caring heart to mentor our group. We are so grateful for the hours of extra work Antman puts in to measuring and cutting to make the Rabbit Castle project one that the whole group can get really invested in. It's going to be a real CASTLE!
