Placeholders of the Land
How can we be placeholders for the land? Some of your ideas were in appreciating the beautiful leaves or trees, and others thought of ways we can be kind to our mother earth. Share your ideas with someone at home.

Our story "You Are The Land" told us of a girl who was like a seed, with a grandmother like a flower and a grandfather like a rushing river. Think about how you are like something in nature. Are you strong like a tree or calm like a lake?

What an amazing fort you built during our wander! This couldn't be done without your team work. Even Beaver joined in. We love to see how all of you work together to make something amazing. How did you spend your wander? Did you whittle, play tag or take a ride on our hand made swing?
During our library time, we heard the story of an Inuit child and all of the important things that nature gives her. From the trees to the sweetgrass, our land provides so many important things for us to live. What is something from the forest that you are grateful for?
Each of our trees has life. We gave them faces to get closer in touch with what the spirit of our trees may be. What did you add to yours? An acorn nose, stick mouth or grasses from the ground. We love to see your creativity while making these. Scroll through our photos and find your creation!
