Back On The Homestead

Today we chatted about how we can be care takers of the earth and of each other. We brainstormed how this might look as a homesteader. Did you give special care to one of the animals, or help a friend learn how to do chores?

The stalls were AMAZINGLY clean, Albert and Libby seemed to have some extra food (which they loved) and the water buckets were topped up and sparkling. The animals are in good hands with this group. Keep looking for extra things that could be done this season. Hummingbird and Daisy filled holes in the arena, Salmon and friends pulled weeds and Acorn, Ladybug and Blue Racer cleaned out the grooming kits.

Off we go to Pine Haven. We had a chance to explore the rivers and found many different critters in the water! Tell someone at home about what you found. How were you a caretaker during our wander? Did you invite a new friend to play with you, care for the wildlife in the river or respectfully use the plants around the area?

Today we played 2 different name games. Think about the new friends that you met today. If this was your first day, do you think you can remember 4 names? If you were a homesteader last year, see if you can name all 14 of you!
