Builders Unite!
Thanks to all of the help of the Homesteaders our shelter at Outpost is nearly complete!

You think chores are just easy routines? There is a lot of knowledge needed to do them effectively. Each animal has unique needs. Can you share some the questions and answers from the Chore Quiz. Each of you will be a Chore Champion after your year with the Homesteaders!
If you were with the horses today, run through how we get these 800 plus pound animals to follow our directions. You all have some strategies to lead, change direction, stop and turn horses easily (well maybe not Albert:).
Our little animals got some very careful tending. The chickens and duck jobs were done with loads of energy today and the bunnies loved their TLC. We all need reminders to keep doors that need to be closed latched to keep our animals from getting loose. Thanks for getting Nibbles back in before night time Owl and friends! Frog and Blue Racer were a great help while cleaning out the nest boxes. What a massive nest we found along the fence line!
During our wander, we had some creative mind playing pretend, building houses or creating worlds. Others chose to use their time to explore the river and catch critters. We can even have a good time with wet feet Sunflower and Daisy!
During our building project we added our roof to our shelter. How did you help? Did you hammer in the stakes, secure to wood with screws or help with cleanup?
Antman had a great question for you. In between our 2 outside pieces of wood there is a space of 90 inches. We need to add 2 more pieces of wood in. How far apart should we put each of them so all the peice are an equal distance apart?
We asked you to journal about differences you could make in your shelter. Tell someone at home about how your ideas would improve our shelter. Would you add to the sides to keep wind from coming in or did you think of ways to make the interier more comfortable and cosy?
