Growing Gratitude
Today we chatted about all of the things that we were grateful for. You had so many great ideas! Did you think about the sunshine, trees, or friends and family. I know that I was grateful that we had such a beautiful sunny day together.

Shirin-Yoko is the Japanese art of forest bathing. We used our senses to find things that we noticed around the farm. With your family, try to answer each of these questions.
1) What did you see?
2) What did you hear?
3)What did you touch?
4)What did you smell?
So much to discover on our wander. Did you find a woolly bear like Grasshopper and Dragonfly? Or maybe you were part of the cooking team making pine needle soup with Fly, Squirrel and Ivy. Some of you tried out whittling and a couple explored the river looking for critters!
We collected leaves from the ground to create wreaths. These could look beautiful hanging from a wall or door, or maybe you want to use it as a centerpiece at your dining table. Take a look at the leaf wreath that you brought home. Can you name all of the colours that you added to it? Can you name some of the leaves that you used?
While we journaled today, we thought about one thing that we were grateful for. Did you choose to talk about something you sensed during Shirin-Yoku, or did you think about your family and friends? How did you write about them?
After we finished our writing we had a delicious apple crisp prepared for us by Antman over the fire. Thanks so much for everything you do Antman!
Here are some other activities that we got up to today.
