Rescue work certainly has its highs and lows, but in the end we can feel really good about stepping in to make someone's life better. Talk about your feelings looking at the name wall which features some lucky horses who got a second chance. Share your stories of Penny, our beautiful Belgian who needed us to make the decision to let her leave this life peacefully.
Gus is a well-loved member of our herd, and is moving on to another farm to finish his happy retirement. We can't hold on to all of them, they need to find their forever homes. Thank you for taking such amazing care of the animals here at Stoneridge Farm.
Watch Gus's reaction when he heard this group singing our closing song. You will all have a chance for a final goodbye next week.
During our chores, did you work with a horse, one of our small animals or construct a wheelbarrow that was donated to the farm? How did you connect with the animals on the farm today? Tell someone at home about one of your interactions with our farm animals.

On our wander we found the traces of another turkey egg that had hatched along the trail. Lets keep our eyes peeled during our wander to see if we can spot any more of these eggs next week.
During our wander did you make creations out of clay or stay cozy near the fire? We noticed garlic mustard around Pine Haven again. Special thanks to all of you who helped find the root of the problem and pulled out this invasive weed!
After moving soil aside, we began our construction on our new garden beds. Tell someone at home about the steps we took to start building this garden bed. Using an axe to knock stakes in can be a little bit challenging. What strategies did you learn to help improve your aim and keep you safe?
Painting is peaceful, says Owl, who loves the sound of the brush moving across wood. Some of our painters were pretty bouncy, needing to keep strokes smooth and control the amount of paint on their brush. Peace and focus are the best mix for painting. Love that Raincoat Yellow!!
Donald was lost this week and spent a whole night out in the wild. Found standing on a rock in Crayfish Creek, he was lured back using what? Tell this funny story at home.
