Hello Autumn!

Today marks the first day of Autumn! The Acorns & Oaks got to experience some of the weather that fall brings. Dressing for the weather is the key to enjoying the outdoors no matter the time of year! We continued to explore using our senses.  We visited the ‘Smelly Garden’ being sure not to disturb the spider and the web it had made between a few plants. What kind of smells did your child like? The smell of the hayloft was a different kind of smell. After snack and story time in the hayloft, did your child like exploring or climbing? Leaves of different sizes, shapes and colours were found all around. One way to remember some of the leaves you found is to make a rubbing. If you bring some leaves home, try pressing them in books for a nice flat, dry leaves that can be used for future crafts.
