Pumpkin Investigators
What changes have you noticed taking place around the forest? Some of you said you noticed less birds in the sky. Others thought about how the leaves are falling and our trees look bare. Try to think of 2 other changes that you noticed today!

How did you spend your morning? Did you make a spooky ghost stone, see if you could jump like a spider or practice your aim with our Halloween themed morning?
During our wander, many of you made potions from items that you found around the forest. Did you use corn, walnuts, cedar? Maybe you found something else to add too! Others used their time to whittle, make shelters or play pretend.
Just like at forest school, trees build a community too. Tell someone at home about all you learned about trees today. It could be about fungus, roots or the resources trees give to each other. In our craft we made our own tree community. Do you remember what kind of leaf you used to make your tree?
While exploring with our pumpkins, we got to count all of the seeds we found inside. What was your guess for how many we would find. 50, 100, 130? Was your guess close? In total, we found more than 500 seeds!
