Pumpkin Passion
What a wonderful fall day. Tell someone what you got up to when you arrived this morning. Did you see how far you could spider jump, make spirit stones or try land a ghost in the pumpkin?
In our book "A Very Big Fall", 3 leaves had to make a long journey to the ground. Big changes can be challenging, how did each of the leaves deal with the change? Do you think that the leaves felt nervous, excited or scared for their journey?
At Pinehaven, what materials did you add into your potion? Corn, seeds, pine needles or something else? Many of you practiced your balance while others played pretend. Oriole found a woolly bear! Did this caterpillar tell us if it would be a warm or cold winter?
We asked you to geuss how many seeds you thought were in a pumpkin. 5, 20, 60, 100, 1000. Once we started counting, we realized just how many seeds pumpkins hid inside of them. Our groups worked together to find a total of over 1,500! Did you find the insides a little bit icky or were you happy to get your hands dirty? We loved to see how willing all of you were to try new things and step out of your comfort zone!
