Collecting Acorns!
Collecting Acorns!

Today was the fourth week of Acorns & Oaks and I can see both children and adults coming together as we continue to meet regularly in a natural setting. Sometimes we (like children) can get distracted easily. Keeping activities fresh and a little different will give your and child opportunities to introduce them to something new as well as find those things that they are really interested in. Of course, their interests can and will change. This week what activity did your child(ren) like to do? Did they overcome a challenge today?

In the book, Have you seen my acorn? By DK Ryland, we saw Squirrel meet some of his forest friends. What kinds of animals did he meet along the way? What actually happened to his acorn?  Did you have a chance to find or hide some food like a squirrel?  Was it easy to find squirrel food?

How did you like exploring today?  What was your favourite part?  Were you happy?  Were you sad? Did you find a friend to explore with or share something with?
