Wonderful Wanderings

Wandering the trails at Stoneridge Farm today we noticed apples and pears on the ground. Collecting and eating the fall harvest of fruits and vegetables is a great way to celebrate fall.  What have you eaten this fall?  Apples, pears, grapes? With the ground covered in frost this morning it was hard not to say “be careful”. What does that really mean? Maybe try saying “Take your time”, “Notice that it is muddy” or even “Take it slow here because…” Did you notice the small holes or circles where the pine needles have been moved out of the way? An animal has dug up some food from those spots. Did your child like becoming a squirrel to hide food and find it again? Keep looking for signs of animals in your backyard or community!  Happy Trails!
